Theory of Operation
The compatible radon detector detects alpha particles from radon and thoron decay. These detections are converted into light pulses that are fed to the AB6 monitor PMT. The PMT converts these light pulses into electrical pulses, which are then further amplified by the AB6 monitor. The AB6 monitor tallies the pulses and displays the results in accordance with the user specified program.
