Pylon feels that it is important to support the community. Each of our locations has supported and continues to support the community in many ways.
Local Community
Pylon takes pride in supporting our personnel who take the time to be involved in our local community for fundraising, volunteer work, etc. We strive to provide work time flexibility to our employees so that they can work on these important tasks.
In addition, Pylon also makes financial contributions to local organisations and charities.

Business Community
With several business regions across the country (Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto), Pylon actively contributes to the well being of local business community.
Wherever possible, Pylon develops business relationships with local suppliers to support these businesses.
We also attempt to support our customers and local suppliers for activities such as golf tournaments, barbeques, Christmas parties, etc. - especially when these activities are used to support the local community at large.
Metrology Community
An important aspect of our work involves keeping abreast of the latest trends and technologies that advance the science of metrology. To assist us with this task, Pylon has been an active member of the NCSLI (National Conference of Standards Laboratories International) for many years.
The NCSLI allows Pylon to keep in touch with individuals and businesses that are involved in metrology including our competitors. This is a small community and we share all the same challenges associated with the science and quality requirements of metrology.
Over the years, Pylon employees have served in many positions within the NCSLI organization including regional coordinators, national coordinators, etc.
